Kate Wiseman


Kate has 5 years of experience as a high school teacher in Chicago, teaching English, Reading, and Improvisation. She graduated from Swarthmore College with a major in English and minors in Theatre and Spanish, and she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University. As an improviser, she has trained at The Revival and The Annoyance. In Chicago, she performs with RECESS (The Playground Theater), The Excited State (The Revival), and the Hutchins Plan (The Revival).

Eric Simon


Eric has been directing, performing and writing in Chicago for 15 years. He trained at Annoyance, iO & The Second City and performs comedy at Annoyance and The Playground Theater. In addition to performing in Children’s theater, Eric has 10 years of experience coaching youth sports and high school club lacrosse.

Katarina Kokoska

Artistic Direction

Katarina Kokoska has a B.A. in French language and literature and a M.A.T. in Elementary Education. In addition to French and English, she also speaks Croatian.  She has over 10 years of teaching experience in the public and private school settings. She has trained with Second City, iO and The Chicago Improv Den. In addition to The Playground Theater’s Recess team, she also plays with Bonfire at iO and her indie team Possum Blossom. Katarina is passionate about teaching and especially about bringing creativity and social emotional learning strategies through improv to all students!

Colin Kibler


Cleveland born Colin grew up in the quaint township of Hinckley, Ohio ( Home of the Buzzards!) Colin trained at The Annoyance, The Second City, and Green Shirt Studio while performing in Chicago for the past 8 years.  

Colin has 10 years of experience coaching and teaching Improv, coaching High School wrestling, and teaching Middle & High School. Colin loves the life lessons that improv has taught him and looks to pass on his love and compassion to others. 

Phoebe Kozinets

Educational Content

Phoebe is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and now lives in Chicago working as an actress, improviser, and teaching artist. She has trained at the Annoyance and The Second City. Phoebe has four years of experience as a theater and improv teaching artist, and three years of experience writing and performing Children’s Theater touring shows. She has been improvising professionally for six years, and is incredibly passionate about bringing improv to all children!
